Lent isn\u2019t about earning God\u2019s favor or proving devotion; it\u2019s about creating space to remember what\u2019s true and to let God shape our hearts again.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>At Grace, we call rhythms like this Modern Liturgy<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> \u2014 weaving ancient practices into modern life. It\u2019s not about keeping ritual for ritual\u2019s sake;<\/span><b> it\u2019s about making room for the presence of God in the middle of our everyday lives.<\/b><\/p>\n<h3><b>What Lent Is \u2014 and Why It Still Matters<\/b><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Lent is a forty-day season that leads up to Easter. It begins with Ash Wednesday and ends with the celebration of Jesus\u2019 resurrection on Easter weekend.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">For generations, the Church has observed Lent as a season of preparation, a shared rhythm practiced by Christians across many traditions. From Protestant to Anglican to Catholic, followers of Jesus have entered these forty days to remember His time in the wilderness and to prepare their hearts for Easter. During that time, Jesus fasted, prayed, and resisted temptation, depending wholly on His Father.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>We follow His example by creating space to slow down and drawing near to God. <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Lent isn\u2019t about punishment or perfection; it\u2019s about renewal.
